چکیده

Imaging techniques are used in many diverse areas such as geophysics, astronomy, medical diagnostics, and police work. The goal of imaging varies widely from determining the density of the Earth’s interior to reading license plates from blurred photographs to issue speeding fines. A typical linear imaging problem involves extracting a source from measured data, where the data is represented as the convolution of a kernel with a source. An example of this is imaging the angle averaged relative source function SP(r) from the angle averaged two-particle correlation function, CP(q), often measured in nuclear reactions [1]: CP(q) 1 RP(q) = 4 Z drrK0(q; r)SP(r) : (1)

ACCESSING THE SPACE–TIME DEVELOPMENT OF HEAVY–ION COLLISIONS WITH THEORY AND EXPERIMENT By David Alan Brown In this thesis we discuss ways to access the space-time development of heavy-ion reactions using both theory and experiment. From the theoretical side, we discuss modeling ultra-relativistic, parton-dominated, heavy-ion reactions. This discussion is broken into a discussion of transport-l...

Imaging of Sources in Heavy-Ion Reactions

Imaging of sources from data within the intensity interferometry is discussed. In the two-pion case, the relative pion source function may be determined through the Fourier transformation of the correlation function. In the protonproton case, the discretized source function may be fitted to the correlation data. PACS numbers: 25.75.Gz, 25.75.-q Typeset using REVTEX e-mail: [email protected] e...

Extracting particle freeze-out densities and entropies from sources imaged in heavy-ion reactions

The space-averaged phase-space density and entropy per particle are both fundamental observables which can be extracted from the two-particle correlation functions measured in heavy-ion collisions. Two techniques have been proposed to extract the densities from data: either by using the radius parameters from Gaussian fits to meson correlations or by using source imaging, which may be applied t...

Optimization of Copper and Zinc ions removal from aqueous solution by modified Nano-bentonite using Response surface methodology

Presence of heavy metal ions in wastewater is an important public concern. Adsorption are commonly used technique to remove various pollutants, including the ions, from contaminated water sources. However, common methods for adsorption are not completely efficient at low ion concentrations and the adsorbent should be improved in order to reaching the acceptable levels of adsorption efficiency. ...
